hey im thinking of using american apparel ring spun (2001) tees for my shirts. im wondering if they are alot more expensive than other shirts. ive heard them referred to as "the rolls royce" of shirts around here. so how much more expensive are they compared to some other alternatives??
Re: are american apparel shirts cheap? (wholesale)
about double. you also have to buy in case quantities 96 at a time per style/color/size. i got a price list from them for a wholesale account a while back and that is what i remembered. never ordered from them though. they are in los angeles.
Re: are american apparel shirts cheap? (wholesale)
We are not allowed to discuss specific wholesale pricing on the forum, suffice to say you will pay more for an American Apparel than any comparable tee.
You can open up a wholesale account with them directly, or through distributors like TSC and Alpha to see the difference.

Some people love American Apparel, and some people don't. Just like most t-shirt brands and styles, it's going to be something you'd have to judge for yourself.
For some brands/markets/niches, they may not be the right fit. But for some, they are the perfect fit.

Yes, which is why I recommended them. I only added "probably" because there may be better sources but I'm just not aware of them. Plain shirts I buy elsewhere but TSC is a good place to buy AA.

Rick, you're right. There may be better sources, but I haven't found any and I've looked everywhere.
I get my AA shirts relabeled by TSC, and they get those done pretty quickly. When I didn't get them relabeled, it only took a day to receive them. When relabeled, 3 days.
No minimums on the shirts or the relabeling, and the pricing is in some instances better than getting them directly from AA.
