With tubular knitting you don't get side seams, so do people prefer side seams for shaping then?

Side seams are considered to be a quality feature. They give a better shape, and allow the shirt to hold its shape after wash and wear.
However, like Shirt Pimp said, it is a preference thing. We have people ask for tubular sometimes, although I don't know why.

A few reasons:
1) Lack of education on the matter (probably the most common)
2) Extreme skin sensitivity to seams
3) Penny pinching
4) Intend to do wrap around prints
