Default The ideal t-shirt cut

I've heard a great deal of talk about t-shirts not being a "good cut". I wondered what everyone thinks is the ideal dream t-shirt. How would you design it?

With tubular knitting you don't get side seams, so do people prefer side seams for shaping then?

Side seams are considered to be a quality feature. They give a better shape, and allow the shirt to hold its shape after wash and wear.

However, like Shirt Pimp said, it is a preference thing. We have people ask for tubular sometimes, although I don't know why.

A few reasons:

1) Lack of education on the matter (probably the most common)
2) Extreme skin sensitivity to seams
3) Penny pinching
4) Intend to do wrap around prints

I suppose the side seams could be flat-locked so they aren't as irritating (like they do on compression wear).

I wonder if you can press right over flat-locking without issue....
