I need the cheapest low-quality (printed) shirts I can find
I lost my mother to breast cancer about 11 years ago. I have come up with an idea for a website that will combine with live events at night clubs to raise money for the Susan G. Komen foundation. flashforthecure.org will be a fun way to raise money to fight breast cancer. Unfortunately, I don't have a lot of money to spend but I definitely need to be giving shirts away. "Girls Gone Wild" gives away dirt cheep, low quality shirts that are nearly disposable, that would be perfect! Cheap, cheap, Cheap is the order of the day. Initially, I might only be able to afford a few (maybe 25-50) each of 3 size (S, M, L). If all goes well, I hope to be able to order them by the cases for 4 sizes (S, M, L, XL).
I really need suggestions for suppliers. I already have the art designed, I just need to find a place to get these ultra-cheap shirts made.

Tanks always seem to cost more than tees. On sale, you can get tees for about $1.14 (I just ordered a bunch of Gildan to give away). And often wholesalers have clearances for $.49 & $.59 (that's what I usually see) if you really don't care what they are.
As for cheap tanks. I don't know where you would go. If you really don't care about the consistency, you get some black wife beaters at say ROSS or Marshalls in the 3/pack. And there are always some on clearance I've found.
Good luck. And again, I am sorry for your loss! My father has cancer right now

I don't really care if they are tanks or T's. But, I do need them to be black and printed with a minumum of 1 color on 1 side. There has go to be someone that sells thoes really cheap crappy ones like "girls gone wild" gives away at events. Where do I find someone who gan get them and print them?

We got the black ones for $1.65 from Glidan 5.4 oz.
I don't know where they get cheap ones or how cheap you want. Try the dollar store, they always have some too! For $1!
You keep mentioning cheap, but what does that mean. How MUCH do you mean? I am not familiar with girls gone wild shirts.
BUT one thing to think about. I know you want to keep costs down but truthfully, if you get decent shirts, even the $1 ones, people will wear them again, even if it is just to the supermarket and that is the whole point right? PR. Not them just wearing it once. You want them to advertise for you. So you don't want it too cheap. You keep mentioning cheap but how much is that?

The ones I saw don't look like they could have cost more than a quarter. They come rolled up like little sausages with the size tag showing. I bet they don't even weigh 1oz. Perhaps they are a custom made import that they get by the truckload. You made a good point about having a little quality so they get worn again.
People keep telling me that I can by blanks for around a buck but I need them printed for around that price. I could go as high as $2 but that would put a real damper on how many I could buy to get started. I don't think I could put on an event with less than 200 shirts on hand.

San Mar has 2 shirts on clearance (BLACK). And they are far from cheap! 6.5oz!
you don't want cheap. I am guessing why girls gone wild goes cheap is none of the girls wear them for more then 10 minutes!! Isn't that their whole point?
Both only $.25 for black. But they only have small and x-small left. It's a great start though! And much better quality then you hoped for. which in return hopefully will be better for the cause, right?

I personally have been sponsoring teams for the 3 day walk. I encourage them to sell spots on their shirts and I print shirts for the team members and have them buy extras to give to those that donate a certain amount.
It's a win win. I am helping them out. And they end up raising a ton more money selling spots to local banks & stores!

aparently I am not the first to think of this, just the first to actually try to do it. There is a guy in NY that already owned the .com URL when I bought the .org and several others. He never did anything with his so he has it forwarding to my .org
I hope I can actually pull this off and do some good.

You have the heart, so I am sure you will make it work!! Good luck!

1. Try a printable promotions company. They specialize in printing inexpensive give away stuff.
2. As was mentioned before - check with a screen printer. One that I used to work worth was always buying crazy bulk deals he found on .50 totes or what not.
3. Partner with a local shop who will cut you a deal for promotion on your website, a mention in the flyers, newspaper ads/stories, or radio announcements, and a big shout out at the event for doing the shirts.
