I am in South Florida....I am deciding which shirt...the Gildan Ultra or the Gildan Heavyweight? The Ultra is a few cents more. do the customers know the difference....Is one really more favorale than the other?
Also is there a better shirt for the same money or less? thank you
I use Gildan Ultra or Hanes Beefy, but if it's hot near you, which it probably is, not like here where it's still cold and wet! the heavyweight might be better.
The Hanes Beefy is slightly better in my opinion but slightly more expensive, although i think it's worth it for the quality.

trying to help, sometimes i don't!
I've used both the Heavyweight and the Ultra...I prefer the Ultras especially if you are using white because white always seems to be a bit thinner so the extra weight of the Ultra really makes a difference then...but if it is colored shirts the Heavyweights aren't too bad and are pretty comfy if you like a lightweight shirt.
Thank you COEDS and PROGENY
I agree with both of you.....It is hot in florida....and the Ultra feels better when holding it....and noticeable when they are together.....The design is important and i agree that would normally make the difference.....I am making a shirt that only has a left chest logo, so it will be mostly shirt. Sometimes i get too picky and then have tough time making the decision. I guess the best way to put it.....if they are not together.....will it make a diference...Is the Ultra the real way to go? oh well...thank you all.

Thanks Jaycen29. Good point about the white. Yesterday i was holding up the two white shirts...and that is what gave the problem (making me think) However if the Ultra is better in white....then i probably would use Ultra all the way.. I do not want to have an order that might be white and colors and have two differnt qualities if they have the same design....thanks again
I really like the pc61 made by port authority from www.sanmar.com. They are a great all around garment. .... JB
Sure, throw another one into the mix to confuse him more.
I actually use the ultra's about 99% of the time.
That being said, when I purchased some tee's for myself to press shirts to advertise my business, I bought some District Threads pigment dyed tees in various colors. They are also very nice, but also more expensive. I'm just trying to use many different kinds of shirts to also use as samples.
Anyway, there is a difference between the Beefy T's and the Gildan. Beefy T's are made from ringspun cotton and I don't believe the Gildans are.
