Just a random one - has anyone used alternative apparel, found their link on this site and I'm digging a few of their lines, thinking of taking a looksie at what they do. If I can get the stuff over to the sunny UK!
I love AltApp. The softest shirt you'll ever own. Similar fitted fit to American Apparel but seems much less constricting because the fabric is so damn soft and stretchy. And you can get their dozen and case pricing by combining sizes and colors.

I'm in the UK as well. I don't think I'll be using them as a supplier because they seem too expensive and my suppliers can give me t-shirts with a print for a much lower price. However, I am planning on buying various sample from American Apparel and American Alternative to measure their standards of quality. Are you looking to ship them into the UK for your t-shirt business or for personal use Daniel?
I'm currently sourcing garments for my business project. Like many members I'm starting a small online store with the aim of creating a recognised fashion brand. I've got quite a bit in place so far but I'm still not too happy with samples I have seen on the garment front. I'm after a high fashion finish, nicely tailored fitted garments. Have'nt the resources to have them manufactured yet! Where are you based, we are in Birmingham?:
For you UK folks, Continental Clothing, which is based in the UK, has some very good shirts too, with different fits, weights and washes, including some nice vintage washed shirts.

And they're sweatshop-free Belheir. Which is always a nice selling point with a lot of customers.

I'm in the same boat, can't find the right fitting shirt. Well that's not strictly true, I like American Apparel but they're minimum orders make it quite expensive. I've had samples from Continental but I agree the collar was very wide. Looked into Alternative and they will ship to UK but adds quite a bit on the cost of a shirt, so didn't follow it any further.
Anyone tried SkinniFit, US Basics, or Best in Town? They seem to be more fashion type cuts, hoping to get some samples very soon. Also found this company today http://www.bbleisurewear.com/ could be worth a look.
