Gotta compare apples to apples. We don't know what kind of fruit you got, if it's of the loom, you probably paid too much!

I'd suggest finding local distributors first cause most places do not offer free shipping, or have high quantity requirements (700+), or restrict you on which colors are valid (ash and white almost always disqualify you). You can find local distributors usually by contacting your favorite t-shirt maker and asking them for a local distributor. You will most likely need a resale license, which you should've gotten when you started up your company. Of course, local dealers oftentimes don't have all the products, so you still may have to go through another company or online.

If you feel the need to go online, then I've used WASATCH - Tees of Atlanta in the past with good results. Forum members also commonly mention:
TSC Apparel
www.sanmar.com
BlankShirts.com - Wholesale Name Brand T-Shirts and Apparel
www.alphashirt.com

I suggest dealing with your local distributor though, it's not only a place to get t-shirts with no shipping and handling, but it could also be a networking opportunity to let them know what you can do and possibly have them send clients to you.

Sign up with several wholesalers b/c different ones offer different closeouts, etc. I try to look every other week or so for closeouts that I can use at about 5 different wholesale sites. I bought a bunch of black tees for 99cents last week b/c I know I will use them at some point. Sometimes closeouts are in weird colors but black always sells so when I see basic colors that I know I will use, I buy.

I use:
Welcome to NES
ssactivwear.com
printgear
CarolinaMade
and ACC
sorry can't remember the websites offhand for the last couple.

I'm starting to print tees as well and am looking for a wholesaler for 50/50 tee's. I am just south of Portland Oregon and was wondering if there might be a wholesaler there or in Seattle.
Also I was wondering what's the weight of a tee with a good "feel" that doesn't come across appearing cheap?
Any help would be appreciated

Hey Ken, www.sanmar.com is based in Seatle. They are one of the besy wholesalers. I buy most of my stuf from them. If they don't have something you need, they will help you find it. They also have great marketing tools . Good luck ..... JB

Where are you located? That would help answer your question. Find a vendor who is a one day ship, runs sales, will give you case pricing and has a free freight policy. I also usually use SanMar (warehouses all over the country) but ACC (Atlantic Coast Cotton) has some great deals. They are located in Virginia.

Thanks Jennifer,
I'm located just south of Portland Oregon

I will check out these suggestions and also, what is a good weight for a shirt so it doesn't feel cheap but doesn't break the bank either
