Re: TRansitional Cotton - How is this different than "Organic" or "Eco-friendly"? Hi,
transitional cotton is cotton that has been grown according to organic guidelines (no chemical fertilizer and no synthetic pesticides used) but the ground has not been free from chemicals for three years. It takes three years for a factory to be able to sell crops as organic. It is great for the environment. I think Continental Clothing was selling them in the UK but I am not sure of anyone selling blank goods in the US. Wal Mart is selling printed transitional cotton shirts, as they bought a large amount of transitional cotton.
Hope this helps. |
