i have a quick probably unrelated question.
Does anyone know of a way to customize limited number usb sticks? for business clients who want to offer them as useful gifts?
please answer if y know, apparently there;s some demand, and no one is doing small numbers... so this would be a nice market to get into, but don't understand how the process might work.
Its just a printer. You can print your raster image and with the right software have a contour cut around it and apply. I dont know if thats is their method, but for short runs thats the way Id do it. A few of us here have printers able to do paper and vinyl decals like that.
plan b - yeah, seen them at cebit, the print quality was very good, no idea of the method, i don't think it was a sticker though, looked more like silkscreen, or like people say, an inkjet printer...
HeathenPeddler - cool, have you tried one of these? or know someone who has? The print quality is not really visible from the pictures, but it needn't be perfect, also, they don't say a think about how long the design will last.
hammered - no, i don't think it's printed then cut... but that might work, i don't know how well the contour would look like after a while, also, it might be too much work to allign all this by hand for limited quantities.
prometheus - it's probably a printer... but they have limited quantities and allow you to send in your design... but as I said, I don't think there was something printed then stuck or wrapped on the USB stick...
i'm going to hit the googles and try to find what the technology is! i'll keep you posted!
I wish I remembered who that company was. I might have the brochure at home. They were also selling a DTG unit, that wasn't much different. They had sample of cellphones, ashtrays, plaques, etc.

No luck, I haven't been able to find this printer... I've looked at all the DTG suppliers that I could find to see if they have something for USB sticks...
Any ideas on what I should do next? Where to look?
