Default Customer complained of sweatshirt quality - hooded sweatshirts recommendations?

Hi everybody, I recently had an order of school sweatshirts, and the price they were asking to pay was $20, 2 colors front and back. Since the price they were willing to pay was really low, I ended up using Jerzees Nu Blend (which we all found out wasn't very good quality). The students were complaining about the quality of the sweatshirt having loose threads, which I have no control of.

Now I am asking for your suggestions on what brands of sweatshirts to use for tight budget students, budget but not the flimsy ones...

And what brands will you use if the students/parents are willing to pay for the quality.

Please remember they aren't buying fashion sweatshirts, but they will use them within the school year.

Thanks in advance .

that's a tough one, we go through this every year. It comes down to the bottom line whether you're willing to make less profit and get a better sweat. I like the Jerzees Super Sweats but you're right the nublend are cheap.

It has been my opinion that Gildan is the best for the price and quality. I have been in the biz for 3 years now and only twice have replaced a shirt or hoodie. They run @ $7 and have a nicer feel than the Jerzees. Also I hate to sell Jerzees because you can buy them at Wal-Mart and people question the price. Hope it helps

Try jonlauren.net. Case price of $6.50 each and to me the quality is thicker/better than the 9oz-10oz, $15-$20 pieces being sold.

Thanks guys. I love Indy sweatshirt, most suppliers call them "Monster Fleece." I think their prices are reasonable. I will also try Gildan sweatshirts.

I will never buy Jerzees NuBlend, again.

I never knew Monster fleece was the same as indy. You learn something knew everyday thanks!

I know a guy that tried the Ind-4000 but still prefers port authority/sport-tek. He does a lot of schools in the bay. Port authority is nice but I keep hearing about Independent. Any ideas on the difference between them? Ind-4000 vs f254 for example in terms of quality, $, feel, etc.
