Just wondering what the general consensus is on where people purchase their blanks and equipment. I have been in the business for a little over four months and have only used Imprints Wholesale for blanks. I have been very happy with them so far.
When I started I opened up accounts with about 7 different major companies and liked the selection and prices that they offered. They were even cheaper than Sanmar on most items and are local enough for me to go to the warehouse and pick things up myself to save on shipping.
I bought my equipment from Ryonet and was happy with them. I have also bought extra screens and a few other products from them since.
I have heard Ryans is also decent but haven't purchased anything from them as of yet.
Re: Who do "you" use for your blanks and equipment?
As a hobbist I have only gotten my transfers from retailers or small companies that participate in a local computer show. I have only used two types such as cold peal, and the traditional type of heat transfers.
I look to be purchasing a heatpress shortly and would love to know of any companies you have experienced luck or good service with. I see you mentioned 7 different accounts, are there any limitations to your vendors such as minium order amounts or quantities?

most of our blanks we get from gauss sales, then it's either carolina made or one stop inc. Blank coasters we get from direct2shirt. Equipment we have bought from a few.....Glantz, Garston, Hyatts, Imprintables & Richardsons.....and have been happy in dealing with each of them.

For my blanks I use TSC or Broder. Mostly TSC, their real close to me. I got my press from Coastal, printer from Epson and I get my paper from Proworld, Transfer are made at Artbrand and I'll also be using Express, I can drive to Express in about 45 minutes. No need for postage.

None of them have minimums that I have dealt with. Some have offered case pricing for the first year if an annual sales minimum is reached.
The thing you need to do is set it up as a business and acquire a sales tax id number or they won't even talk to you.

I bought some equipment recently from two different places and I would recommend Coastal Biz. They have great customer service and fast delivery. I'm still waiting on my equipment from the other place and I'm not too happy with them.

I get most of my apparel blanks from Alpha, Broder or Virginia T-s. My transfer paper from ProWorld.
I have also dealt with Boo-Z (heatpress); All American Supply (rhinestuds/rhinestones); and BestBlanks (mousepads).

Jiffy shirts for blanks: great prices, fast shipping, no minimums, no accounts. Ryonet for screen printing supplies: good customer service and you can get almost everything there at good prices.
I saw Ryonet listed on Matsui's website as a dealer of their new water based inks, but i can't seem to find it on anywhere on there (silkscreeningsupplies.com). Has anyone else seen these inks on Ryonet?
