Thanks Rodney. Life Is Good, just started a sueded shirt line too.

Thanks for letting me know about lifeisgood. I own a few of their shirts, I wonder if the ones I own are already sueded cotton. They do have a great feel to them.
If not, I'll definitely check one out so I can know what it feels like "for sure".
My son loves Life Is Good - and has several of them - but none are sueded. I just happened to go on the website yesterday and saw that the sueded shirts are new to their line. I haven't seen them in the stores yet though.
Isn't it great!!!! JC Penney's has had Henley's for a few years. Old Navy, Children's Place, Abercrombie, The Gap.....I can't believe it hasn't been offered as blanks yet. How do I find a place to custom make it? Are we giving away a great idea - someone going out and starting a blank line of sueded shirts? Also, when getting something custom made, and the minimum is 1,000, is that for same color same size?

I talked to the folks at RoyalApparel / SummitApparel.com recently about this and they said that their minimums for custom work is 1200 per style, per color. So you can mix and match sizes, just not colors in that 1200 batch.
If they have the fabric already on hand, they can sometimes do lower minimums to make the style you want.
Also check the company I linked to above, blankstogo.com. I talked with them at a recent tradeshow, and they do custom blank t-shirt manufacturing. I just checked their flyer and they can do a 600 piece minimum. They can also do all sorts of dyes and specialty washes.
