Right now I use American Apparel to screenprint on. I like the feel and look of AA, but have had some issues with their products. I was wondering if anyone else had some other suggestions for brands to print on. Feel free to comment on the positives and negatives about any blank clothing companies. Thanks for any info and suggestion.
A lot of the "cheaper" brand t-shirts are starting to offer fitted, more trendy styles. Anvil even has one that claims to be ringspun baby soft cotton.
Yet to try it though.
Alstyle Apparel (AAA) has a ringspun tee that comes in a variety of colors that is also a tear-away tag tee. This means that the tags are perforated making it easy to tear them off and relabel the tee without your own company name and care instructions. Go to ALSTYLE APPAREL and then select Adult T-shirts and look for item 1701. This is their description:
"5.5 oz 100% Ringspun Cotton Tubular Tee* Super-soft ringspun cotton. Tight print-face for ease of printing. ¾” Set-in collar. Tear-away tag. Double-needle bottom hem and sleeves. Shoulder-to-shoulder tape. Pre-shrunk to minimize shrinkage."
I haven't tried these yet but I plan to over the next couple of weeks. If anyone has used these, some feedback would be great.
Hey Greg, some of the issues i had were that I'd find very small holes in the shirts. I've also found what appeared to be small oil stains in some of the clothing. So now I find myself carefully inspecting every article of clothing before I alter them.
I've used Kavio and our customers really liked the women's X-length tees in particular. The fabric is soft and they have a lot of different styles and sizes to choose from. You do need to be carefule when ordering youth sizes as I've found that the more trendy items, like sundresses, run at least 1 size small. Never had a problem with the adult apparel.
Yes I found great blank trendy shirts at These and Those Clothes. They only have one men's style but the women's styles are more like bodies you'd find at bloomingdales or barneys. Really cool stuff check them out at www.theseandthoseclothes.com
They also do private label (bodies, dyeing, washes printing ) and have really low minimums.
