Hi all -
We're looking to have hoodies printed for us for the upcoming Winter season. Some suggested we get Tultex zipper hoodies. Just curious if anyone here knows anything about them.

Tultex is made by TSC Apparel (TSC Apparel). I use their t-shirts for most of my stuff...the hoodies are alright... Personally I would recommend going with American Apparel which is a little softer, but the Tultex hoodies are a close second and great for the price.
If you decide to call TSC, ask for Regina and tell her Jacob from Junkytees referred you...they give me case pricing on small orders, so maybe you could get the same deal.
Tultex is a manufacturer....TSC is a wholesale distributor of Tultex products. Accordig to TSC's website, they are the exclusive supplier of Tultex products.
Tultex has been around (by several names) since the 1920's or 1930's. The company started near my hometown and was/is a major employer in my neck of the woods.

So the t's are comparable to AA? You can't beat the price and in the pics it's a good looking shirt.

Hard labor kills, make t-shirts instead.
I have used tultex t shirts and hoodies. I'd say their shirts are a good cheap alternative to AA t shirts. As far as hoodies, I think they improved the quality of the hoodies from when they first came out. I like the pullover hoodies and the zipper hoodies look nice but are more difficult to print on than other zipper hoodies. The way they are stitched makes printing on them really difficult instead of just dealing with the zipper. It gives you an uneven print about an inch on each side of the zipper. They are nice looking and heavier than the AA hoodies if that is what you want. For the price they are great. Zipper hoodies are great for printing on the side of chest left or right. Zipper issues could be reduced most likely with the soft surface platens. My platen had the center cut out but wasnt enough. Sorry for the ramble.
