Default NAFTA Friendly?

I've seen the term "NAFTA Friendly." It sounds good - heck, it says "Friendly" right in the name, but what does it really mean?

Is it sweatshop-free? Or is it that free trade is exploited to effectively bring me a lower price? Lastly, I could imagine it means "you won't see tariffs." I hope it's a combination of the first and last option

I'd really appreciate if someone could alleviate this confusion for me. I couldn't find the details of this term on this forum or elsewhere on the web, but I did find it used a lot.

I know what NAFTA is - I was educated in North America and that's standard-issue-civics-class right there

The question is about the term "NAFTA Friendly," which you find in the context of buying t-shirts. For example, Alstyle has some shirts that are "NAFTA Friendly."

Thanks!

Oh I believe that means they're duty-free.

Hello, I am working on making some t-shirts for an organic farm festival and I was wondering where there might be more information available on NAFTA shirts? Thanks

You really only need to worry if it is NAFTA friendly if you plan on shipping outside the US, for instance to Canada. If it is here, made anywhere in the world, the duty is paid and can be sold anywhere here.
