Default Skate industry hoodie standard.

Alright,

I did my research on the site and I have found many companies I already knew about and many things I already knew about but I could not find an exact answer anywhere.

So, my exact question is, does anyone know the skateboard industry standard on hoodies?

After all my research I have come down to the conclusion that not one company sticks to just one company for hoodies.

It actually looks to me that alot of the major skate companies are having their hoodies custom made... and im pretty sure if thats the case thats all outsourced.

I am looking for a good heavy hoodie. I know pretty much all the companies everyone has listed in other threads and I cannot seem to find exactly what I am looking for. I have a skate hoodie, and I wanna say its atleast 11oz and its really nice. I found very similar looking ones, but they don't have the color that my sweater which makes me think that again... the skate companies out source to have their own unique fitting and style sweaters...

If anyone can give me a for sure company that a big label skate company uses that would be helpful.

I know that "One-Industries" a skate company uses Independent and Explorer for their sweaters. I also know "Monster" uses both of those brands too.

Thanks for the help if anyone knows a lil more of the dirty details.

Josh

Check out Canso.

They supply hoods to DVS, Burton, and more.

Cheers

I know that Independent Clothing Co supplies a lot of skate brands.

If you are doing high enough quantities, they will custom make whatever you want and custom dye whatever you want, so you may not see the same styles and colors in their "standard" lineup.

Yah, I knew independant did custom stitching you just need quantity..

canso also does the samething for quantity...

canso seems to be the closest to what I was looking for. Thanks for the help..

I am still open to look at other companies tho...

But I think alot of people are doing the custom rought if not through these companies ... outsourcing.

thanks guys.

I think I heard that Volcom, amongst others, uses APX hoodies.

I have worked for a few very large skateboard companies and I can tell you that the majority of our stuff comes from Independent Trading.

Has anyone used any of these companies for hoodies...I have been trying to find that style which is pretty unique to the skate industry. I liked the look of the canso hoodies. Does anyone have an idea of what the quantities have to be? I'm sure there is a minimum I just couldn't find it.

Yes, if you check out other threads you can find feedback on several hoodie vendors (search by vendor name).

Best bet is to contact the vendor directly to find out their minimums and pricing.

We just ordered a few hoodies from Welcome to Beimar and they feel really good. What made me notice them originally were their fairly unique 14oz. sherpa lined hoods (complete with thumbholes and a hidden media pocket).

How many hoodies from beimar did you order? what are their minimums? Was the entire hoodie lined, or just the hood?

No minimums. You can order single pieces if you like (we ordered a few of each of the Sherpas and a couple of their more standard cuts to compare to other brands we use).

They offer custom design and colors too, but I haven't looked into it (I would assume those require a minimum of some sort or carry a high premium over their stock).

I was talking to the Owner of Beimar at a show about a year ago and they do a TON of skateboard companies' apparel decorating, custom zippers, embroidery, dying, etc. I believe the minimum order for this type of decorating (custom) was 120 dozen (pretty sure you can mix and match sizes as well, but that's for 1 design only).
