Hello,
Just got my order so I need to buy shirts. I dont have a Fed ID # yet so I cant buy from a wholeseller. I live in Fontana, CA. Any suggestions on either local stores on online vendors.

A fed ID is not required....if you are in CA you need to get a resale license from California Franchise tax board. then you will file with them...depending on your volume..periodically. I would guess that just starting out you will file once a year and send in the sale tax you have collected.

BUT in the meantime you can order shirts from Jiffyshirts.com without a sales permit. They will normaly ship to you next day. If you order a certain amount..I think around $180 the shipping is free.

Hi Ozzie, if you are going to be selling t-shirts in CA, you need a seller's permit/resale license.

The state can come after you for tax evasion if you don't.

What are you waiting for then? EIN and the reseller's license are easy to apply for and get processed very quickly. Once you have them in hand you can order from Staton or TSC (two big wholesalers located in Fullerton, not too far from you).
