I was told by a local screen printer yesterday (not my printer) that Gildan was coming out with a new style in the fall that would be similar to American Apparel.

Has anyone heard of this?

He told me that they would be softer, than the current Gildan's and also be more fittted. According to him, the folks at Gildan wanted a shirt similar to AA, but be more affordable to more of the imprintables industry.

I've searched a little bit today, but can't find anything about it.

Interesting...I haven't heard anything about it either and I don't see anything on the industry magazine sites.

Yeah, I was checking those myself.

I was thinking of going to the ISS show in Atlanta in September. I may go now just to check out Gildan, and see if I can get any info, first hand.

I haven't heard anything from my suppliers. It would be an interesting entry to the market knowing how aggressive Gildan is with their pricing. Hope it's true and that the shirts are pretty good.
