Question Best Brand for Heatpressing

I just started making shirts using transfer paper and a heatpress and am now looking into buying wholesale t-shirts to put my designs on the tees myself ..

I chose this path because it seemed like having the shirts printed through a company was extremely costly and making them myself looked like it could save me money ..

I was leaning toward a 6 oz 100% cotton t-shirt but I wouldn't know what brand would be best and I definitely don't know if the type of shirts I use or the type of material of the shirts would affect the heatpressing efficiency ..

I recently made a sample shirt using a Jerzee 50% cotton 50% poly. to see what would happen when I washed it ..
The design stayed intact but the quality of the design on the shirt didn't seem right .. Can this be because of the quality of the shirt used to heatpress the design on?

Just about any t-shirt is good for heat transfers. 50/50 can get the same results as a 100% cotton one.

The only ones (so far) that I've seen cause trouble are the ones that are ribbed.

In general, you can get better results when using laser printers and the bigger CLC's.
