Hi I am trying to locate an affordable and high quality t-shirt blank manufacturer for new t-shirt business. Hanes is really good quality but there have been reports it gets stuff from sweatshops. Could anyone please verify or dispute this fact?

Hanes is cut here in america and sewn over there and shipped back. Don't know if it is sweatshops doing it.

Unfortunately, affordable and guaranteed sweatshop free aren't going to fit too well in the same sentence.

I think Hanes claims it has ethical workplaces, but it's hard to say for sure.

Most of that information is out of date (years old) and concerns the food aspect of Sara Lee, not the Hanes part of their brand.

I think they branched off from SaraLee Knit Products recently and moved the apparel stuff under HanesBrands. I haven't seen anything current about where they stand though.
