Hi, I'm looking for shirt blanks that have the sleeve and bottom hems 'split', like is shown in the photo below. The cuts are made all along the hems, at what look to be regular intervals. In the sample I have [which I believe was part of a high-quantity, custom-made order], the collar is intact and not split or distressed at all. Just curious if anyone has seen a blank like this out there, or if it would have to be custom ordered. I know some wholesalers offer 'destroyed' t's but that's not exactly what I'm after-- I'm looking for 'less destruction' than that. Thanks.
Both continental clothing and alternative apparel have t-shirts like that. I think alternative's is called "destroyed". Not sure what continental's is called.
It looks like it's just been cut with a sharp pair of scissors. Jersey doesn't fray, but it does roll (like you're seeing in the photo). If it's at regular intervals I'm guessing it's just machine cut after being sewn - perhaps they were able to repurpose some standard piece of equipment (like a pattern cutter) to do it. If you wanted to do small quantities you could probably do it by hand. While I could be wrong, I don't think anything more special than a simple cut is going on.

I'll second that, it definitely looks like a straight cut to me as well.
I'd say unless you need thousands of shirts made, you might just go ahead buy some nice blanks and slice them up yourself.
