Could anyone give me some information on how to obtain t-shirts that have your own label on it? I'm dreaming big right now and have an idea for a line of children's apparel, starting with t-shirts, that I'd like to try to market at trade shows and to higher end boutiques. I'd like the shirts to be good quality and soft (I'm guessing ringspun/brushed cotton is the type), but basically a standard design. The logo that I plan to use on the chest is the unique part. I have a name for the brand and would like to see it on the label, preferably a tagless label since it's kids. Am I crazy? Thanks!
You can buy blank shirts and have them relabeled with your own tags, or have a "tagless" tag screenprinted in the collar. See these threads for more info:
I had actually browsed through some of these threads and gotten some good ideas. Trouble is that royal apparel and continental clothing don't carry the toddler sizes I was looking for. Since my post, I found a company called fessler usa that manufactures standard t's and then dyes them the colors you want and will label it for you. I'm wondering if this is super expensive. Maybe I should test the market first with someone else's label in it and screenprint my brand on the back to see if it flies. Is that how most people start out??? Sorry for this stream of consciousness e-mail and thanks.

I doubt it's terribly expensive, but you will probably need to order a pretty high quantity (1000 or over). You should contact the company for details.

Have you tried American Apparel, Kavio, Alternative Apparel or Monag for the childrens blanks? They carry 3months up to youth sizes & I think most will do the labels for you.
