Hi can anyone reccomend a good freight forwarding company for perth.I have some t's (100) in new york where i have to arrange my own shipping.Had quotes from dhl and tnt but they are way too expensive.Any help and advice from anyone would be much appreciated.
Shipping from NY to Australia, I would have them send them either US Air Mail or Global Priority Mail.
When I was getting quotes for international shipping recently, I found that the US Post office was much cheaper than other shipping companies. Here's the USPS international rate calculator. I think 100 shirts will weigh about 55-60 pounds.
Just don't do US Parcel Post, it'll take about 3-4 months.
As you know, I recommended you use USPS, as Rodney has. I can't recall exactly now, but wasn't there some reason you didn't want to use them? If so, just thought that should be mentioned here so that people who might be able to help you are clear on exactly what you're after.

Hi no i have no reason not to use usps.I was (still not?)not aware i could arrange from here for them to pick my goods up in the usa.I have been used to working with a company giving me a shipping rate therefore making it easier to calculate my final costing fees. Maybe i am being to cautious but it's just that i dont want to be buying something that is costing more than what i could possibly resell at.Thanks all for your help and keep it coming!

Are they being picked up from a screen printer or warehouse?
Is the t-shirt company you're dealing with saying they won't take the package to the local post office if you are paying the shipping fees? That's pretty standard.
If they won't handle the simple drop off of an order to the post office, you may want to consider a different company. It's possible that they may just not be familiar with international shipping, so they want you to do it all so they don't have to be bothered with it.
If you find out that the USPS is the lowest price, then you can communicate back to them what the cost is and what they would need to do on their end (it isn't much).
