Default Hoodie Quality

I need to buy some hoodies for heat transfer printing. Not sure what oz. to buy. I'm not looking for anything thin or thick. I would like to get some "middle of the road" hoodies. Any suggestions on oz. wieghts and best prices?

Thanks

I use blankshirts.com to buy all my blanks. I also recommend american apparel, It is easy to set up an account, they sell their hoodies to brand names like Johnny cup cakes and other famous brands. Just check them out and see for yourself, I am sure you will like them.

I normally run school and youth sports gear on Gildan's 7.75 oz 50/50's - Lots of colors and reasonable quality for the price. I have also found the basic hoodies from Sanmar (Port Authoirty) and Augusta to be a pretty good value.

When possible we get the Hanes 10 oz print pro for orders going to the 541. The high cotton content holds colors better than the others mentioned.

It's sort of relative, as what is "heavyweight" to you might be "midweight" to the next person and a "midweight" hoodie might feel "lightweight" to your customer if they are used to wearing heavier hoodies.

Generally speaking though, Between 7.5-9 oz is what I would consider medium weight for a hoodie.

Beimar.com has some nice affordable hoodies in that range as well as most of the major brands (Hanes, Fruit of the Loom, Jerzees)

I prefer heavier weight hoodies like those at Jerico.ca or Independent Trading Company
