Default Fast Artist 1.5 and fast rip

I am trying to install these 2 programs. I have managed to install them, but the setup I think I am having problems with.
I can send to the rip program and then send it to the printer..the printer will go down to the end of the runway, but wont print, it comes back after a minute. test print works fine.

Check your page size in the File > FastRIP Setup > Preferences menu. It should be set to 17" x 45".

The Epson LCD on your printer's control panel should be set to Roll/Cut mode (with a picture of a roll of paper and picture of a pair of scissors).

How long have you had the printer? Are you well trained on the machine?

not long, and semi trained, but I had the 3 icons paper roll cut....

I was going to call and upgrade my software today w/ you guys and try to get tech support as well... do you think it will be a bit easier than the 1.5 version..

I am familiar w/ other software programs for different types of machine..

I have the wilcom studio w/ correl draw..so I hope to be able to use that as well.... thanks Nadine

Hi Nadine,

Yes, EZ Artist 2.0 is easier to use than Fast Artist 1.5. You can still use the same workflow as you used in 1.5, or there are several new workflows that are much easier.

Here are three new workflows that will interest you especially as a Blazer Pro user:

  1. Print straight from Corel, Photoshop or Illustrator.
  2. Drag and drop art onto EZ RIP.
  3. Set up "hot" folders. Art that gets put into a hot folder gets positioned and printed automatically, so people who aren't familiar with the software can still use the printer.
