Default Nozzle Check Question

Question about the nozzle check. I was told in another post that this could be the issue to my magenta appearing as an outline around my prints.

OK, on the nozzle check the lines are SOLID (no fading, and ALL are present. However in just magenta they are jumbled. As in they dont cascade normally like the rest of the colors... they are kinda up and down in the rows. Would this be a problem with the printhead? A problem with the alignment? A slight clog?

It was suggested that the problem was a slight clog making the magenta spray to the side or a head alignment issue. Anyone know what this kind of nozzle check means?

Default Re: Nozzle Check Question

It's slightly clogged.
It could indicate a damaged head. The head is a laminate and if the laminate is damaged at the nozzle, dried ink can build up. When a drop is fired it can be diverted by this dried ink and give you your symptoms.
Clean it, if this works -good.
If it comes back, especially on the magenta it suggests a damaged head that will need replacing.
