I wouldn't waste my time, just crate it up and send it to me I'll be happy to pay the freight charges! LOL!
Just kidding, fire it up....you'll be fine, just try CMYK printing on white first till you get a feel for the machine and the RIP before you jump in and try a dark shirt with underbase, lots of help here on the forum if you run into problems.
I was in same situation, purchased a used refurbished T-2, afraid that the deal was just too good to be true. For the price I paid I expected a few problems but so far it has performed flawlessly.
Don't be afraid to do dark shirts especially if you have the new Artist and RIP software, they make underbase so easy.
I have messed up about a 1/2 dozes shirts but those were errors with aligning the printer up to the correct position on the shirt, not getting it centered.
Now I mark the center of the shirt with a chalk line and use a tape measure to determine where to set the image. I then adjust the image position using the RIP software. That way if I don’t get the shirt centered on the holder it doesn’t matter the print will still be in the center of the shirt, works great for left chest logos to.
The previous owner marked all of the shirt holders with a grid system that helps also
I am sure that over time I will experience some of the same issues that other T-Jet 2 owners are having but for now I am just enjoying some trouble free printing.
As soon as I can afford it I plan on picking up the Veloci-Jet, by that time maybe some used ones will start to show up.

If you haven't been trained on the T-Jet 2, you might want to just fill up the CMYK ink bottles first. Fill up the white ink bottles with cleaning fluid instead of ink. (Do not leave them empty.)
That way you can use the T-Jet to print just on light shirts, where the learning curve isn't so steep. In a few weeks, once you have the hang of the software, just take the cleaning fluid out of your bottles and fill them with white ink in order to print on dark shirts.
Just bought one from American Screen Supply about a month ago and have not had a problem since. It prints everything I throw at it. Had a T jet 3 before and that machine sucked compared tothis one. Is that not funny or what, the older technology is better than the new. Anyway I am finally confident to sell these shirts to my customers without worry of them returning for poor quality shirts. I hope to get a lot of use out of this printer. Just like everyone says make sure you keep it clean and it will be a happy machine.
