Default Control 2 T-jets from one computer and one installation of FastRip 10?

I have one T-Jet 2 at the moment and I have Fast Artist 2.0 and Fast Rip 10. I have been looking at picking up a second T-Jet 2 and I am a little confused as to whether I would need a second license for Fast Artist/Fast Rip. I plan to control both T-Jet 2 from the same computer.

When I look under Printers - Manage Printers in Fast Rip I seem to have the option of adding a second T-Jet.

Has anyone done this? It looks like it should work but of course I wouldn't be able to tell without a second T-Jet 2.

Thanks for the input guys!

Hi, let me repost one of Harry's posts from a month or two ago.
You would need two separate computers to run two printers. You can run any number of T-Jet's from one computer. However you can only run one printer at a time from that one computer.

If you want to run 2 T-Jet printers at the same time each would have to have its own computer with its own FastArtist software and security dongle installed.

There is a version of FastArtist called Multiqueue which was sold to run multiple printers from one computer. They were sold in two versions - one that ran 2 printers at once and one that ran 4 at once. The price of that software was 3 to 5 times the cost of a single use version so most users who wanted to run multiple machines stuck to several copies of the single use version and several dedicated computers.
Please let me know if that answers your question.

Since there is no cost savings with having a multiqueue version of the software I always tell customers that they are better off running 2 printers with 2 separate computers and software as you then always have a backup available in the event you ever have a problem with one computer.

Ya. That is the way I'm leaning. Two printers, two comps, two software licenses.
