Hi there
for the past year and a half I have been running a t-jet 2 for a dear friend of mine who is battling cancer. For the past two years he has been leasing it , but is on the verge of losing it to bankruptcy due to his his overwehlming medical expenses.
The bank that now owns his lease is wanting us to send it back immediately. I would like to figure out if there is anyway I can keep it .
Does anyone know how much Equipment Zone or other refurbishers pay the banks for them? I have heard there are many, many left homeless and am hoping that the bank would rather sell to me than to deal with the hassle of reselling it. While there are MANY times I wonder whether it is worth fighting for with all the problems and expenses it comes with, I just think I should try to keep it as I have no other source of income.
So what I am asking is if anyone has any advise, suggestions or thoughts about this. I do not want to pay anymore than necessary , and I don't think I could take over his lease as I have quite a lot of credit already out and don't really think it is worth the balance on the lease
Re: Does anyone know the value of bank owned t-jet 2?
It's hard to put a value to a used printer. I can tell you that the average price that I hear that people are paying is between 4,000 and 6,000. That's just what I hear from some of my customers that have recently made the purchase of a used machine. The 9,000 printers that you see are usually refurbished units with a warranty from EZ. or other dealers.
Re: Does anyone know the value of bank owned t-jet 2?
I'm with Karl. $4000 to $6000 depending on how much comes with it like ink, pretreatment, spare parts, multiple garment boards, which bulk ink system, exaust fan upgrade, things like that.
Re: Does anyone know the value of bank owned t-jet 2?
I just purchased a used T-Jet 2 from a member of this forum. It was recently refurbished by the equipmentzone.
I got a great deal, it came with the cap attachment, pretreatment for both white and dark shirts, bulk cleaning system, 5 shirt holders, and many more extras.
I lucked up on this deal, paid $4500, and the seller even delivered it. I would not recommend purchasing a used printer unless it has recently been refurbished by the equipmentzone
I would also recommend getting the new EZ Artist and EZ RIP, I think it is about a $395 upgrade.
