Default Bad Experience With T Jets

Anyone have any legitimate problems with your t jet? I know T Jet 3's were a flop. I need something other than clogged print heads. I want to hear some really bad stuff. I have still yet to get my machine up and running and it has only been one year since I've had it. I have a blazer pro. All of a sudden the machine wouldn't turn on and then my dealer soldiered some wires together and now its back up but won't print. I have only had the machine for 4 months and then it went down. I want to hear your stories.

1. My T3 prints non-stop (at least a few shirts a day)
2. I am very happy with the machine.
3. I think many hate me for typing this. LOL
4. I think I got lucky or something......not sure
5. Printheads require more care than a newborn.

Awesome my friend, you did get lucky! From what I know the T3's were crap. Glad you got a good machine! I know that if you do the right things to any T3 you can get them running again. My buddy at International Machine Group Fixes them all day. I have yet to send my blazer to him. I really need to hop on it! I am just really discouraged. I've replaced every part possible in the machine so it really should have worked. I shouldn't have to incur any other expenses. It's so ridiculous what a mess the Fresner's got into and what Hirsch did too.

It's not running right now. It didn't want to turn on and now it doesn't want to print. I am waiting on some ribbon cables to come in. It should fix the problem. If not Hirsch will have a big problem to deal with. They left a lot of people hanging including me. I want to see if anyone else has any big problems like mine too. I think that there is a lot of people with messed up machines out there but are afraid to speak about it. A few people wired Hirsch the money to pay for the t jets and they didn't send any machines too. Really bad business people at Hirsch if Fresner's statements are correct.

My t3 is a heap. I have printed only a handful of shirts on it. One thing after another has broke. After a year, US Screen agreed to exchange it. However, in the meantime they went out of business. I don't really have the time and money to keep messing with it. Just when you think you have one problem fixed another one comes up. So I really don't know what to do. Keep at it or take the loss. On the few occasions I got it to work, it was great.

You know I have debated that with myself. If it's just going to break again, what is the point?

you maybe right, .... I want to gather everyone's information and note their problems because this is definitely fraud and we need to stand up for ourselves and band together to pinch people right where it hurts.

I am looking at buying a t-jet sdt-1000 and wondered if anyone had any experience with this machine. I am looking at printing custom t-shirts at 12-36 shirts at a time.

Thanks, Mario

I have been using a T-Jet 1000 for 4 1/2 years it does not have white which
makes for less problems. I've only changed the head and encoder strip once.
We do over 10,000 prints a year and it and prints as well as it did new.
I believe this machine was the most trouble free because of no white, a simpler
design and well made in Japan. This model was a considered to be a plug & play.
This machine is has less problems but you still need to do the daily maintenance.

Thanks Crazymike. That is good to know. What brand of ink do you use for best results?

I use the Fast Ink 3 with no problems. I buy mine from Equipment Zone.
Hope this helps.

Hi there, I was just looking around and saw this discussion, so I thought I would through in my 2cents. I have Blazer Pro purchased Feb. 09 and have yet to establish consistant prints. Part of the problem has been keeping the machine running. I have replaced nearly everything in the machine. So many issues to talk about i wouldn't even know where to begin. The US Screen Inst. really did screw a number of people and now it seams as though Harry at Equip. Zone is taking advantage of people with DTG problems by charging us up to 1 thousand dollars for a year service contract. I have been in the decorated apperal industry for over 20 years and have never paid for service advice from any other equipment provider. I'm not really sure I like the DTG world. I personally feel most of the machines out in the field have no business even being out of the R & D department.
In closing I will say the 30Grand Blazer Pro has been the worst purchase I've ever made.

Hey Alan, thanks for your input because I have the same problem. I would like to keep you in my contacts. Our machines were actually made by Hirsch since they bought the company. They are still in business....
