Default Printhead question

We run the T3 which uses the R1800 printhead. I was told by a member on another forum that it could be replaced with the R1900 head or even the R2400 printhead. If so what would be the difference, if any??

If not please chime in and the reason why. I was just curious as another business in the area has an R2400 head looking to unload cheap and its never been used.

Just wanted to see the compatibility issues if any.

Thanks in advance.

-Mike

That is an interesting question. I would think the difference would be the driver and the way it is configured to work with the rip software for that particular model.

I am wondering also if they are the same size and configuration for the print carriage. But yea I think the relationship between the rip and the driver is probably the biggest issue.

I've heard that you can interchange the 1800 & 1900 heads, but have not heard it about the 2400. Better safe than sorry.
