Default what causes ink dripping on garments, banded prints, capping station sticking? - I hate the t-jet 2

I hate this machine to high hell. The only thing its good at is robbing me dry of my bank account. 10+ Hours, and only 8 shirts!
And they aren't even great. I'd give them a 6.5 out of a 10. Inks dripping all over the shirt, banding, head clogs and a nice amount of wasted shirts.

I could of bought a nice car instead of wasting my bank account on this piece of crap!

Sorry I had to vent, I spent all of my life savings on this garbage machine, and I got absolutely nothing from it.

The whole time I had this machine, I only printed...2 good shirts. wow...

What is going on with your machine? Maybe we can help get it working better.

I don;t know. Everyone here has been soo helpful. But it seems like every problem that I have gets solved, then another one pops up. I wouldn't be so mad if it didnt cost me so much to fix/replace/inks/shirts for everything.

This machine is leading me back to drinking.

How old is your printhead? Is it possible that it has delaminated? Have you cleaned it with a syringe by pushing cleaning solution through the printhead? The reason I ask is that if to much pressure is used to push it through, it cause the seal of the printhead to come apart and leak ink, that would also explain why you have banding along with the dripping ink. Also what brand of ink are you using?

The other thing that might be causing the ink dripping is that the height of the ink bottles could be too high - creating too much pressure on the print head that will lead to the ink dripping. Sorry to hear about your luck.

Yeah I did clean it today. The printhead is less than a week old If the seal did blow, would I be able to use something like krazy glue to fix it all up???

Ok here is probably a dumb question, but is your spit station cleaned out? Sometimes if it gets full it can leave ink buildup on your printhead. Unfortunately there is no way to fix a printhead if it delaminates. Also have you dont a thorough cleaning of your wiper and capping station?

Yeah I did a cleaning of the wiper/capping station before. But I'm guessing this printhead is gone

Well, that does not look good! The things that I would look at is delamination, your capping station not working properly or the bottles too high. Gently clean the bottom of the print head. Then check to see if the capping station is working properly (i.e. sucking cleaning fluid down the drain valve). If it is, then lower the height of the bottles. If neither of those turn out to be the solution, then look at the print head. Maybe someone else will have a suggestion.

Good luck,

Mark

It seems wierd that it would only last a week. Maybe you can contact who you bought it from and see if they do anything about a defective printhead. Has it printed good at all since you put it in?

You know what I just noticed? It looks like there is ink coming down the side of the head. are you sure the dampers or ink lines (not sure if your printer has dampers) are connected well at the top of the printhead on the nozzles? When you removed it, was there ink on top of the printhead? If so this could be your problem, that the line or damper is leaking and the ink is going down onto the face of your printhead.

Well I am going to try tommorow, I just checked the capping station, and it was flooded with ink. I did adjust my bottles alot today, so maybe last time they were high. I'll try tommorow since I'm just way too frustrated tonight.

Like usual, thanks alot for your help! Hopefully the print head is fine, ill let ya know tommorow!
