Default What is the normal/average shelf life of the Fast Ink 3?

Not to get off topic here, but I have a quick question.

What is the normal/average shelf life of the Fast Ink 3. I won't hold anyone to a magic number, just a rough idea.

I've had a liter of white on the shelf for about 2 months and wasn't sure if its like 3-4 months or more like a year??

Thanks in advance.

It's more like a year. Using the white ink you have had on the shelf will be fine, but you need to make sure to incorporate the titanium dioxide back into the rest of the liquid (that's the white gunk that settles on the bottom of the bottle if you don't agitate it).

Don't shake it to reincorporate things. Be much more gentle, but make sure that there is very little white left on the bottom of the bottle.

Sounds good. I was figuring it was longer than a few months. I do stir regularly so no sediment and everything looks nice and well consistant

Actual shelf life of the white ink is 1 year from the date of manufacture. Figure that most ink you get from regular stocking dealers, like Harry at Equipment Zone, Colman & Company, Lawson, etc. is about a month or so old when it hits your door. The best way to reincorporate the TiO2 into the ink is to slow roll it, sort like a fishing rod is rolled for wrapping.

FastINK comes packaged in round bottles. The best way to keep the white ink in proper suspension is, every 2 days or so, turn the bottle on its side and roll it slowly back and forth several times on a flat surface.

Also a great way to relieve stress!

Several Flexi owners have made a white ink roller by using a rock tumbler and removing the tumbler portion. Then just place the bottles on it and let the good times roll!

I have read bulletins from several ink manufacturers that indicate the shelf life on most CMYK inks is two years, minimum. Longer if gently agitated monthly.
