Default Printing with Underbase

Hi,
We have been printing onto white shirts for a while so thought we would move onto black shirts with our Blazer. Haven't got very far!!! When we ask it to do two passes for the underbase it does one takes the shirt board back in again and then starts printing again off the back of the shirt board. Am I missing something obvious? I have spent all afternoon searching for the answer!!! Any help would be much appreciated.
Thank you
Angela.

Hi Angela,
Most likely what you're describing is an issue with how your software is set up. If I had to take a guess at what's wrong, I'd say that your page size wasn't set to the proper dimensions.

You can give our tech support department a call for help. They can connect to your computer over the internet to tweak your settings and tell you how to print a white underbase in one pass. The phone number is 1-800-408-0040 or 201-797-1504 or email [email address].

The situation you are describing would be caused by incorrect page size if the native Epson 4880 printer is set into roll mode.

Make sure your epson lcd says Paper Out and with two symbols- roll (roll of film) and cut (scissors). Paper Out roll cut.

Hi,
OK, I have chacked thst it is on Paper Out roll cut so it must be down to the sizes. I am looking at FastRIP setup, Page setup tab, page size. Not actually sure what shirt boards I am using. Please can someone tell me what is the size of the 'standard' shirt board? Also are the sizes on this setup tab in cm or inches? I can't believe I am struggling so much with this!!!!
Thanks for your help.
Angela.

It doesnt matter what boards your using. You will use your templates to work with your boards like the 2 up oversized or the 3 up standard. But your page size is what needs to be at a certain size depending on which blazer your using. If you are using the Pro it is 17x45 and the Express is 17x31. Just select predifined and the proper size depending on which Blazer you have.

Sizes are in inches.

Hi,
Thanks. I am using the express but we only have the size in there for the pro. I am starting to think that I have made an error when I first set it up as the different shirt boards arn't in there either just the standard 4880 paper sizes. Do you think I need to uninstall and reinstall something?
Thanks for your help.
Angela.

This is what you do. Select it as custom and select the height to 31 and the width to 17. Then you should have a disk that came with your fastartist package that says templates. Open that disk up and pull the Blazer Express Templates folder. You will use those templates to work with whatever board you are using.

For example, if you have your oversized board on the express you will use the Express Oversized Template.

To use those templates you simply just double click on the icon in the folder or you can open up fastartist and go to file>open> then select the proper template. When you have the template open you will see blue guides that will represent where the board is positioned in the page size. If you don't see the page size go to View> and select Show Page Size. Then you will see a black outline that represents your page size.
