Ok, so I installed a new bulk ink system today, did some head cleanings, almost got it goign good. I decided to take a break for dinner. When I come back, the carriage kept going back and forth. I turned off the printer and computer, and everytime I plug the t-jet 2 in the carriage keeps on doing the boot up process over and over and over again.
Any idea on what could possibly be the cause of this???
One thing to check, when you first turn it on watch your carriage go to the other end and make sure that your ink tubes are not getting in the way or not keeping it from going all the way to the end. Sometimes the ink tubes will be sticking out and what happens is when it goes to the other end, the ink tubes touch the side panel and the carriage comes back and restarts again. The carriage needs to be able to go all the way to the end, underneath the panel, or it will keep moving back and forth trying to find the right position.
yea i already did that, i actually got the problem to stop. but now another problem popped up. It finds its place, but when I go to try and do a nozzle check, it disconnects..
It is usually good to have it in stock along with other parts like capping station, pump, wipers, encoder strip, and print head if you can budget it. But the other parts are cheap.

If you are using the fast T-Jet2 I went throu 9 print heads i less than 2 years becouse of the head cleaning carts. mine where leaking and shorted out the print head and cable. fluid run down the side of the carridge and got the cable wet with the cleaning fluid burnd out the cable and the print head.

Sorry clicked on wrong quote lol
Make shure your cleaning cartridges are not leaking when you install them.
ive had mine for almost 3 years and the first 2 years had all kinds of trouble the t-jet 2 is good but the epson 2200 printer is not made any more that could be why lol
Yeah, when I get everything in again I'm going to be supercareful about everything. I just want everything to work right, lol. I just spent all of my savings on this machine. All I want is it to work.

I have found that almost everything they told me at ussp. that sold me the printre did not work for me I had to do a lot of testing on diferent items and im still learning and at $250.00 a print head it was an expenceve lesson. lol found the print head at prcisionroller.com for $212.00
Im sure you guys are printing white. One thing that could help you guys with the print head that helped me for years that will save your print head is at the end of every day pop in your cleaning cartridges, which are refillable, and do a couple of head cleans to get the ink out which will help keep your print head from clogging. I ran four TJet 2 using the multi cue and I did this everyday with the printers. My print heads lasted a year or longer. Just refill the cartridges with cleaning solution when there almost empty. I even heard distilled water works but I have yet to test it since I dont have the T2 anymore. Have moved on to Blazers but will have to check it out on those.
Also if your ink is pouring out of your cartridges, check your height of your bulk system. If it is higher than the print head then ink will pour out that way. It should be at even height with your print head.
A note, if your ribbon cable and printhead are burned there is a decent chance that the mainboard also suffered a short. Be very careful whenever you remove the cartsridges/dampers from any direct to garment printer as this can cause leakage and a short. Always make sure the machine is turned off when doing this and then make sure no liquid made its way down the cable before powering up.
