Hi, i just put a new head and cable printer, also new ink cartridges. The cartridges are full and the wire are ready to go. I was doing a nuzzle check and got the first half of the 7 nuzzles. i did head cleaning. after few times, i decided to close the printer by pushing the power button.
After an hour, i decided to re-open the printer by the power button again but i got only red lights flashing really fast. i removed the cartridges et put them back in place but nothing changes. Any suggestions ? did i do something wrong ? thanks Bruno
theres only two reasons why your lights would be flashing really fast. encoder strip or ribbon cable. check to make sure that your encoder strip is not out of place. also make sure that it is cleaned and not scratched really bad. if that doesn't fix it then it has to be something wrong with the ribbon cable. double check to make sure that the ribbon cables are inserted all the way in. you will fell like almost a "click" type felling when they are in all the way. also, very important, check to make sure the small ribbon cable that connects to the back of the carriage is connected or inserted properly. when doing this make sure your power cord to your printer is disconnected or make sure your surge protector is off if you have it connected to one. which is a good idea. hope this helps.

Also If the printer thinks you havd done about 10,000 to 15,000 pages then you need to do a reset on the wast tank counter you can get the reset program at USSP (us screen print)

Try resetting the waste counter. You can download the adjustment program here and just follow the directions: Fast T-Jet Adjustment Program
i did a reset but i was not good enough. I changed the encoder strip. It has fix my problems. Thanks all for your help.
If your lights are flashing rapidly then it is not your waste ink counter, it would be either your encoder strip, ribbon cable, at sometimes even your print head's circuit board can be fried. If it flashes slowly then it is your waste ink counter.
