Default [T-Jet]Background is printing on black shirts...anybody can help?

Hi there,

i got a problem while printing with my fast t-jet2 on black shirts.

I got a jpg picture from a client and he wants his logo in white printed on a black shirt.
So I converted the logo in photoshop and deleted the background and tried to save the white logo as png, jpg, tiff and imported it to the FastArtist Software but always the background is showing up in white and if i am printing it is printing with the white background.

What do I have to do to get the background transperent?

Many thanks in advance for any help!

I am not sure how your layers work in fast artist. I think Harry has a tutorial that might help on his website. Its equipmentzone.com. I think he has a fast artist guide on there.

Alex from our staff put together a helpful "Idiot's Guide" to using FastArist, with separate guides for dark shirts and light shirts. They're both free PDF downloads:
EZ FastArtist / FastRIP Guide

Theres only two raster file formats that recognize transparincies and that will import into FastArtist. That is psd and png files. Tiff files do recognize transparent backgrounds but when imported into FastArtist it will have a white background. Make sure in Photoshop that you do not have a white layer after clipping, and if you have multiple layers what you want to do is select all the layers, right click them, and then select Merge Visible. Always merge your layers especially if they have effects applied to them. After merging, save them as a psd and import the file into FastArtist.

All vector formats recognize transparencies. ai, pdf, and eps are the only vector fomats that will import into FastArtist.

Happy Printing!
