Hey to my Forum Friends! This is where I get most of my answers Fast.
Has anyone tried the New Fast Color for light and white shirts on the Tjet? It claims to eliminate the 2nd pass and brighten the colors. I am needing that "POP" to my white shirts. I print on white,
6 -6.1 oz. 100% cotton shirts and get just a so so print. Each time I start up I run the inks and at least once a week I go through the printer maintenance, head cleaning and alignment. Even if I print 1 shirt I will go through the entire cleaning process with alcohol wipes and glass plus. Now this product has come out..also the pretreatment for light shirts printing white, and I am wondering if I should purchase this since I am ready to purchase more inks.
Thanks
The FastColor does help it pop a bit. It is mostly used to cut down curing time by 30 seconds and its washability is outstanding. But it is for white shirts only. FastBright is for white and light shirts when using a white underbase. I would use FastColor on all the white shirts you print and it is also inexpensive.
I actually just tried it last week and it did make the color a little more brighter. I'm still doing 2 color pass on a 360 HS but the difference is noticeable with or without Fast Color.
Thanks for the information. Anything that helps with the color jumping is a plus and I welcome the info. I will include Fast Color in my next order for inks. Thanks again
I do so appreciate the message about the Fast Color, I have not been printing DTG long and I know it may be overkill but I seldom use the 360 setting. I go right to the 720 just because I want the colors to jump. I will be ordering inks soon and I will include Fast Color in my order. Thanks again for the reply.
I too use the fast color on certain orders, and it does work great for keeping the colors brighter, and much better washability. I have also used not only on white shirts, but also light color shirts and have had no staining problems.

it depends on what model of dtg your using if printing with 360. TJet2 will work but Blazer model will cause banding cause of the stepping of the bed. Also if you have a lot of detail than 720 or 1440 is better. But HS is the best way to print if your alignment is set perfect and also double pass is always best for the pop. if you need help with the alignment I can give you some tips with the remote panel if your using the Blazer model.
I do also use the 720 HS setting most of the time but sometimes I use the 360 because the 720 setting over saturates and bleeds when I do 2 passes. I'm just trying out the fast color myself so I really haven't had time to experiment with the different print settings yet.

Mario, try using the 720 HS 2 pass and set the copies in the rip to 2. If you just print the 720 HS standard twice that will cause some bleeding.
Also, what part of Texas you from and what is your company name. I might have talked to you once before on the phone.
If you add FastColor you might find it useful to also get an additional front end for your Wagner Control Sprayer. It makes using the different types of pretreatments much easier. You only have to unhook one front end from the power unit and hook up the other one, which only takes a few seconds, and you're ready to spray. If you only have one front end then you have to empty the pretreatment you're currently using. rinse out the container, refill with the other pretreat, and then repeat the process when you need to go back to the first pretreat. Much easier with 2 front ends, each holding a separate pretreatment.
