Question issue I've never encountered

I am hoping someone can help me out. I have contacted EquipmenttZone and hopefully will be in contact with Javier tomorrow.

I have a T3 and after replacing the capping station everything was working fine. As part of my normal maintenance I replaced the two printhead ribbon cables as they were about 6 months old.

The ribbon cables I replaced had no visible signs of the typical black "hot spot" or anything out of the ordinary. If anything they were at most a little hazed over and a little worn but nothing major I could detect. After installing the new ones and powering everything back up I had no movement in the bed or the carriage. The only thing I did notice on power up is the pass counter flashes a quick "7" and than just the power light is on.

I checked the board for the typical blown fuses but could not detect anything, I also rechecked to make sure all the ribbon cables were properly inserted and in the right locations. I even went as far as trying a spare print head I keep on hand.

Whether I push the ink button, eject, or pass buttons all I get is the clicking noise. Once the machines switch is on and I hit the power button i can no longer shut the machine off using the button almost like its in a frozen state.

Any assistance or help would be appreciated as I can not detect anything to my knowledge out of place or abnormal.

Any Ideas?? Once again, on power up, I get no movement out of anything??

*UPDATE*

I had a blown fuse on the board.

Purchased a fuse holder and proper fuse, soldered to the board bypassing the blown board fuse.

Bed and carriage move properly now - Problem solved.

Hello, I have the exact same problem while I was trying to replace my head, what fuse did you replace and is this on the epson board or tjet board.

Thanks in advance

Alfred
