Default Is it better without white?

I have a TJet3 and haven't printed anything in six months. I have been fed up with how quickly print heads go bad when printing white ink. I would like to get back to printing, but without the hassle of white ink. Has anyone done this, and has it alleviated the aggravation?

It is very easy to convert to an only CMYK color system. Drain all the white ink bottles on your bulk system. Rinse them out thoroughly with hot water. Pour cleaning solution in the white bottles and flush out your white hoses and dampers/cartridges. Once the white side of your bulk system is clean, keep those bottles filled with either cleaning solution or distilled water (never tap water). You can now run your printer strictly as a color ink only machine. When and if you want to go back to white ink you just need to drain out the water or cleaning fluid from those bottles and refill with white.
