Hi, Have you printed a nozzle check to see if the black is clogged ? Also check the black ink is in the pipe all the way to the top of the damper, if it is not you could have an air leak. Check the connection on top of the damper.

I am not certain what model you have, if it is a blazer express or pro this is the same procedure. The black tube is connected to the top of the damper with a small nylon collar nut. If no ink is in the tube the leak could be here or at the bulk ink cartridge. Check the connection onto the bulk ink cartridge first. If this is good remove the tube at the top of the damper, be carful not to lose the small rubber o ring situated on the exit tube. Place the large syring on the end and see if you can suck black ink through. If you can then its not a clog. Suck the ink up to the syringe and then lift the cartridge release lever on the right hand side of the cartridges to stop the ink running back all the way. Now re seat the tube into the top of the damper, make sure you push it all the way in and then tighten the collar nut. Although its plastic it needs to be tight.

Now do a couple of head cleans and the ink should be charged into the head.

Now the test, print a nozzle check and see if the black is printing.

Let me know what happens.

Ok well that isnt anything to do with an air leak, chances are you may have caught it when taking the pipe off and on. Have a look and make sure it is correctly positioned in the sensor on the back of the print carriage. If it has a kink or scratch on it you will need a new one but they are simple to change and relatively inexpensive.
