Default whats the difference

If you are doing for instance a multi-color graphic on the breast, what is the main difference between 1440x720 Cartoon Standard and your basic 720 Standard? Is it more horizontal lines per print?

What do most of you guys use? I printed the 1440x720 today for the first time as I normally use a 2 color pass of 720 but it seemed like a cleaner print although seemed to take a bit longer.

On a side note I just ordered another capping station for a back up down the road. I am at about 8 months with this one and may just swap it out. Whats the "Normal" life of this item?

Thanks, Mike

Mike,
The 1440x720 print mode deposits significantly more ink than the 720 print mode. Because it is putting down more ink, it takes a little longer to print. If you like the quality of the print you're getting, it makes more sense to print one pass of 1440x720 than two passes of 720 since you don't have to wait for the bed to load again.

As for the capping station, the normal life varies depending on how much you print and how well you maintain your printer. But it's a wear part like the brake pads on your car. After a while, the brake pads begin to wear down and become less effective. The same is true for the capping station. So, for optimal printing, I'd recommend changing your capping station at least once a year, though more than twice is probably overkill.
