Default Halftones?

I was wondering, I know Fast Rip is used to print halftones on transperancies, so can Fast Rip for the T-Jets print out halftones?

I can't see why not, but why would you want to?

Yes it can, but would require a different print mode and looks pretty cool! Hey, it looks just like screen printing 4-color process! I think that would be the main reason why...imagine how much money you could save if you printed a sample for your customer on an inkjet printer? Well, many would argue that the quality would not be the same, but I remeber the day when people would say that you could not print white ink on a black shirt?? I am just saying that anything is possible and not far fetched...

I have tried printing half tones with the flexi rip, couldn't get it to work.

I have a design that I want it to have the halftone efect but I haven't been able to figure out the print settings. I have also in the past wanted to do a fade out of a design with the halftone effect instead of trying to do just a regular fade. For example, on a black shirt with white letters, I want the white letters to fade into the shirt but with the halftone effect like screen printing.
Thanks for the replies.

Why not try applying a halftone filter in Photoshop than printing? Nothing wrong with faking it if it works

Fastrip for the T-jet can do this. They added in printmodes so you can do this specifically to print samples for screenprinting jobs. I would contact the tjet support guys and they can show you how to do it.

All you need to do is select one of the simulated halftone print modes in FastArtist. You can choose between different LPI's ranging from 35 to 85 I believe. In Fastartist go to the Fastrip setup menu & on the printer tab go down & click on the ellipsis next to the print mode you currently have selected to be able to change it!
