Angry t-jet 3 and blazer express are down AGAIN

We have had our T3 for about 18 months and have invested more money than the machine is worth trying to keep it running. We have purchased all the upgrades to no avail. It ran for a few hours before we installed the motion control board upgrade. Got a few shirts to print now nothing. At first it would load, head clean, everything but print. Replaced ribbon cables(Again) but still no print. Does anyone have any suggestions other than to throw it out the front window? Which is my next option. US Screen has been no help. When I finally spoke to someone he said he had to talk to the repair dept and would call back. Yea right, no call.

Due to the t3 problems we got a blazer express, not long ago, not much better. Various cartridges keep reading empty, and the resetter doesn't reset. We are on the 4th cartridge in 4 days that has done this. After about 50 trys at resetting, turning on and off, and wasting hours it magically resets. Is it possible our reset tool is faulty or are there any other tricks to getting it to work.
I am about 500 shirts behind and with both pieces of junk down I really need help.
Are any T-jets worth owning?

On the T3 did you check the fuse on the main board to make sure its not blown. On your old set of ribbon cables, if their is burn marks on the metal connector tabs their is a good chance that may have caused the machine to not print.

With a bad board it will go through the motions but will not drop any ink and error out.

As per the Blazer not too sure of whats going on there as I do not own one. hope you figure out your issues, it sounds like your in a real cluster---- over there.

With the blazer are you talking the cleaning cartridges or the main ink cartridges?? On my T3 if the cleaning ones are not in the right slots they will flash empty. Sorry I couldnt help you out any better.

Hey on the TJ3, you know how theres the adjustment program to reset the waste ink counter? Have you tried doing something like that on the Blazer Express (if possible?)

I don't have much experience with the Blazer series. I've set two up for friends (I have a TJ3 so they had me show them how to use it and stuff) but I don't recall it being the same method. I never had an issue like that with the resetting cartridges (when I was there showing them how to use it). Are the chips on the cartridges bad?

Do you have cleaning cartridges that you can test with? I would trythat and if those work. swap the little chips out (carefully) and see if they work in the ink carts.

Just a suggestion.

I'm not sure about the T3. I had the PLUS upgrade in for a day and then took it out. I have better registration without it than with it. Crazy huh?

Thanks for the advice. For the t3 we are waiting on another board to try that AGAIN. i think we are going to go without the upgrade again and see how it works, the upgrade seemed to mess it up worse than it was.
Still a piece of junk, with or without the upgrades!!!
For the blazer, when I turned it on to try to fix it this morning it worked. I don't know what the problem is. It seems to fix itself for no reason.

My recommendation to anyone looking for a DTG printer.
AVOID the T-jets, you will spend more money trying to keep them running and in wasted materials and time then they are worth. Especially the T-jet 3.
I LOVE the quality of prints WHEN they run. If only they wouldn't break down every other day they would be awesome to own.

Had the same problems with blazer express. Built a new business exclusively around it. Kept breaking down, error messages, poor quality production, slow.

Lost everything.

Have filed suit.

Hi, on the Blazer Express it could be your chip re setter. Once they are set and running ok you can eliminate the chip forgetting its state by leaving the main power switch on at the back and only powering down with the switch on the front. This way the chip keeps powered up.

Alternatively you can change the chip from the cleaning cartridge to the bulk system. Or change a chip from an original epson cartridge and this will more than likely do it.

Once you have good set of cartridges you shouldnt have any more problems. The Express is a fantastic machine and should run 24 7 no probs.
