Default Printer Error

I'm getting a problem with my T-Jet Blazer Pro that I haven't seen before.

It stops at random spots during printing and the Epson LCD screen tells me to turn the printer off and back on again.

It started yesterday and is happening almost every run.

My machine is seen heavy use so is there a counter or something that needs reset?

Thanks,
Andy

Default Re: Printer Error

From Michael in our Support Department:

You need to re-set the Epson LCD panel, then re-set the defaults in the LCD panel.
Push the right arrow until the LCD says "ready". Push the down arrow to get to "settings".
Push the right arrow to enter the "settings" menu. Push the "up" arrow, and you should
be at "init settings". Push the right arrow twice to execute.

Power Off, then back on.

You should see a blue light by the printhead shortly after turning
the printer on, as the printer is looking for a paper edge to set itself to.
If you observe this, you should be able to set the edge and get the printer working.
Place a sheet of white card stock 3/4" away from the side of the frame, and the top at the
center of the scissors picture on the carriage assembly. You need to use card stock,
(8 1/2 x 11) like from the inside of a binder cover, because the paper will be
hanging over the edge of the shirtboard tray. Use the oversized shirtboard.
Make sure the printhead is approx. 3mm away from the paper.
It may take several tries to accomplish this. If it does not read correctly. the printer
will go back and say "reload paper". Power off and try again.

You will then need to check the printer set-up on the LCD panel and make
sure our default settings are entered. If you do not and turn the printer off,
you will need to repeat the paper set-up process. Enter the "settings" menu again.

You can change the options on the LCD panel to the correct one. Using the up/down
arrows, move to the correct one. Then hit the right arrow so an asterisk appears
by the new choice. That means it is saved. Push the left arrow to go back and the
up/down arrow to move to the next option.

Here are the settings:
Platen Gap – *STD
Page Line - *OFF
INTERFACE – *Auto
Code Page – *PC437
PPR Margin – *Default
PPR Size CHK – *OFF
PPR ALGN CHK – *OFF
Time Out – *OFF
Cutter Adj – Skip this one
Refresh MRGN – *OFF
SHEET Size CK - *OFF
Auto NZL CK– *OFF
Auto Cleaning – *OFF
Quiet Cut - *OFF
INIT Settings –Skip this one, it resets all settings.
