Epson head - which one?
so we want to replace the tjet blazer express print head and we are wondering which model we need to purchase.
is this the right one?
Articel-No: F187000
does it matter if we use epson 4800 or 4880 heads? or is there a difference?

Re: Epson head - which one? Yes there is a difference - the 4880 heads are coated to be ink resisting. Not sure about the head ranking codes either. I believe the later Blazers were based on the 4880.

Re: Epson head - which one? Yes the Epson part number F187000 is correct for the Epson 4880, the 4800 is part # F160010
The 4880 is a better priced print head!

Re: Epson head - which one? The F187000 for the Epson 4880 is your best choice and the newest, it will work in both the 4800 and the 4880 and is readly avaiable.

Re: Epson head - which one? The Teflon coated (gold) head for the 4880 is the one that resists ink build up. Either head works fine if the environmental conditions are right and the daily and weekly maintenance is done properly.
