I have an idea and was wondering if anyone has tried it with any success.
I want to print a design that is wider than the print area on my printer. I was thinking of a way to split the design in half print one side then move the shirt over and print the other side.
I basically gave up on that idea due to the alignment problems. What I have come up with is a 3 part design where none of the three parts need to be aligned.
What I will do is print the left side of the design then move the shirt over and print the right side leaving a gap in the middle for the third part to be printed.
I will print on white shirts and will use a white underbase on the center part of the design to cover any overlap of the left and right sides.

We have had customers print all over designs with the T-Jet 2 printer using multiple prints, as you described. The results really depend on how the artwork looks and how it is separated out into individual prints.
I would suggest trying to avoid printing a white underbase on a white shirt. You should try and play with the artwork so you do not need to. Just keep in mind that no matter what shirt color, if you are printing white ink on it you have to apply pretreatment.
I thought about that what I have decided to do is take out all the white areas in the center design and replace them with a light gray. The question I have, and I am going to try it this weekend, is can you print over ink that has already been cured or will I have to leave the side prints uncured until I print the center then cure it all at once.
Also I will have a 1/4 black outline around the center design. That should take care of any overlap
If anyone out there has come up with a way to align the designs when doing something like this I could use a few tips.
Thanks
