However, it seems that every few days our white ink filter clogs.

I read that perhaps sealing the edges with silicone would help, but we tried that to no avail. Roughly every 3 days, the filter clogs.

Our tech suggests we blow it out with a syringe; however, we waste a LOT of ink when we do it. Bottom line is that the filter they provide simply does not work in our environment. Replacing them every few weeks (after flushing them every few days) is ludicrous.

Does anyone have the same experience? Are there other filters that work? Our shirt fulfillment customers are anxious!

After lots of trial and error, shirts are coming out okay, but there's still room for improvement. Biggest problem is fibers showing through when printing on dark colored shirts. I am doing all the "tricks" suggested here and elsewhere, but I'm wondering if there's a particular shirt that people have found prints best. I am using Gilden 2000, but I've heard ringspun cotton is better. The problem i am having is when I print a word in red or black or even a graphics with any type of coverage it looks great until I press it. After I press it I can see white coming through. I am using a pretreat machine and pressing the shirt for 30 sec after treat. Then I am printing and using the press about 1" above the image for 1 min then pressing it for 3:00 min. I have tried varrying times and pressure and anything the looks good wipes off like its not baked. In the currect proceedure I am using its durable but I can see the white ink through the color.

I am using a DTG Viper printer, mode 1440 x 1440 white 1440 x 720 color.

One thing I have noticed is that in 720 x 720 color almost no white comes through but the images it dull.

I would like to thank everyone for tips on my last post about the slight "blur" in the prints. printing uni worked great.

this happened just once while printing, it was about the third shirt and it didn't do it again during the rest of the printing.

any ideas what it could have been? :confused: sorry the photo is blurred.. it's just white lines beyond the design... Hope you can see them.

We've had our DTG HM-1 since August and I've been noticing that the image seems to be a bit blurred, like a slight double image. it seems to be on things like fine black lines in a design, or even the edges of the design. Cleaned the encoder strip, do nozzle check each day, cleaning when needed. Any suggestions? :confused:

One thing I learned this time round is do not pre-treat shirts in advance. If they get folded the PT is gone in that area and I don't think the prints are as nice.

I'm using PS to create and print from, sending to the DTG rip program.

It generally makes a high frequency sound for 2 passes of the print head then dumps a band of ink. (see pic) After resetting and doing around 10 head... Some come out great and some come out faded. Is this a art file problem or something else. I use Corel Draw and use the CMYK colors. Is there a better software that prints better. I just need consistancy. I tried pretreating a white shirt which prints the best. Any info woud help.
