Just got a Graphtec FC7000MK 2-60 cutter and need help with settings and software.

I will be using it to cut t-shirt vinyl and I have loaded
the vinyl media and have got as far as settings for condition 1.

Can someone give me an idea of force, speed, quality and offset settings I need for hot flex? My cutter pen is about 2mm, is this ok? Blade type is a CB09UA-2, I am worried its not at correct angle as not clear in manual.

I have illustrator CS3 with Cutting Master 2 plugin, I have written some basic text in illy and have gone to file>cut/plot, from there I presume I just mirror it and hit send to complete job?

i need a vinyl cutter.

it will be used mostly for clothing and stickers. also walls and glass if possible, but stickers is priority with clothing as a close second.
so, does that fall under different stocks or different cutters?

2nd, i need very fine detail. so, i need a cutter that can handle that
i DONT need huge sizes, but the bigger the better. however, low price is more important.
i cannot afford the Roland GX24, please dont tell me to save up as i need this asap
also, for stickers, is there simply adhesive vinyl stock or do i need to go through some sort of process?

and lastly, i saw on the faq a "where to buy vinyl" thing, but are there any local stores that anyone knows about around south florida that sells? no hobby shops around that i know of...
and if not, what website do you guys reccomend?

and i want the budget to be somewhere less then 500 or so. really i dont even want to spend the 500, but if need be, so be it.

I have recently purchased a vinyl plotter to do my own graphics and logos for my new cycle shop. It saves me going to local firms and paying for them on a regular basis.
I have got my logo in an EPS file, and have no problem printing this out, and have done a few onto garment vinyl and done some t-shirts.

My question is this:-

How can I get a photo, and then convert it into something my plotter can cut. I can get the picture to look just as shadow image (If that makes sense?!) How do I "trace" the image to get lines that a plotter can follow to cut??
I am currently using corelDRAW X4 demo version, and SignGo for plotting with.

Any advice appreciated and recommendations for software I can download?!?

It's almost as if the CD is blank. I load the disc into the drive, the PC hums a bit and gets excited showing the disc icon then it stops. I then click on the drive icon to manually open the disc but there are no icons to double click. Hmmm.... Any ideas? (I have already shot an email off to the supplier, but am keen to get started)

I does the same as the gx-24, is it as fast, it is as precise and it is $800 cheaper. Now, if you are only doing t-****rs, 15" should be enough, right? besides, most of the vinyl rolls come in 15" wide format. Don't see a reason for a 24" cutter... Am I missing something?

I am looking to purchase a 24-30in possibly even a 42in wide format color printer. I have a cutter already and am looking to get into printing full color stickers, vehicle graphics, banners, printable t-shirt vinyl etc. The problem I am having is that I want to find a printer that can have a CISS or bulk ink system attached or even refillable cartridges. I have come across numerous wide format printers but they seem to be older models and I don’t want to spend less money and not be able to replace any parts if needed. I would love to have a printer/cutter combo like the Roland Versacamm series but just can’t spend at least $12k for a unit so since I already have a cutter I think it would be less expensive to just buy a good printer. For the Robo Master Pro there is a plug-in called Cutting Master 2 that allows the robo pro to talk with the coreldraw. Right? well, my question is.... According to a youtube video published by Josh, you could easily contour cut with the roland cut studio alone, no need for coreldraw. Now, can you also contour cut with the graphtec Robo Master Pro that comes with the 15" robo pro? the tutorials I found for this cutter use the cutting master 2 which is a plug in and thus you need to use the coreldraw, which I am not willing to purchase.
