Well if this wasn't so funny:D that I did this I believe I would be crying! But I really need some help/ideas.

My first order for tee shirts and I have to put names and numbers on back. I ordered easy print letters from Transfer Express (not really easy) instead of the press and print. They are screen printed onto the paper and i have been cutting them with my paper cutter.

Well I have them all cut out now and there are a few huge problems!! They are not evenly cut...ie some have extra at the top, some have extra at the bottom, etc and when i place them on the shirt to press I won't be able to see through the paper backing to line them up!!

There are 27 shirts with names that I have to do and now I must figure a way to get them on the shirt evenly with uneven frickin letters!!

My thought is to trim each individual letter again to the bottom so that they will be as close to even as possible, which will take me some time or to put them on a light board (which I will have to buy), line them up, tape them down and then press or IDK what else!! What about spraying a piece of paper (don't know what kind) with a light adhesive, lining up letters, pressing them and pulling off both backings???? Have no idea if this is doable.

Like I said, I am such a newbie that if this wasn't sooo funny I would be crying right now!

I don't have time to reorder press n print letters either so any help would be appreciated!

I hope that I have given you all a giggle on this beautiful Thursday!

Please reply and rescue my dumb butt!

Live and learn....I'm sure I will make plenty of mistakes, but as long as I can keep laughing I'll get through it......at least I hope so.

Thanks!

Hi

I realise you get a lot of this sort of thing and I appreciate your patience.

I've been reading the forums for a couple of weeks now and i've found a lot of very useful information and I wanted to avoid starting a new thread of my own but I'm still a bit confused.

Basically- I'm in the UK and I want to start up a very small business but I've only got about £600-800 max to spend.
What I've worked out that means for me is I'll have to buy a cheap Heat Press from ebay (or possibly a decent used one) and stick to Transfer paper T-shirts to begin with as I won't have the money for Vinyl cutters/plotters etc. I think all I'll need is a Press, a standard printer, and some transfer paper? No special inks or other machinery- have I got this correct?

My plan is to have political quotes on t-shirts, as I know the student market very well as well as a lot of socialist/commnity groups- basic tshirts with quotes on them, (but I would eventually like to get into more elaborate designs).
I believe this is pretty easy to get black text on a white shirt using transfer paper, but I'm still not sure how to get white text on a black t-shirt- will I have to cut around each individual letter (bearing in mind I expect the quotes to be fairly small font)? Is there a better (but still cheap way) I should think about?

So, I'd just like some opinions on my plan, what you would do given my small budget, and the best way to go about printing quite small text.

Thank You.

Hello everyone. I have a problem that almost everyone experiences on the epson 4880. Cloggled heads

I have a slight twist on this.

My heads are NOT Clogged but the printer thinks they are. The printer will not stop cleaning the heads.
I have turned the machine off. I have unplugged it.

As soon as I turn the printer on or send a print job to it it startes cleaning the heads again. It is very clear that the heads are clean because the blocks that it prints are completely solid.

I tried to find a thread that mentions this problem but I could not find one.

It has cleaned so much that the maintenance tank had to be cleaned.

This printer has been a nightmare. I purchased solely of t-shirt printing. It has never had the original inks intalled. I started off with the sawgrass inks hybrid ink system. I have since changed to MIS Inks and the problems still continues. It does not matter what inks I used I have always wasted ink on cleaning. Now the printer in in virtual cleaning mode and I can not get it to stop.

Has anyone seen this one ?

Any help would be appreciated.

I am a total noob and actually do laser engraving, but want to add shirts. Am I making the right choice to start. Don't want to go to too cheap.
