Default Royal thread

Does anybody uses Royal Thread from Coleman and Company? I was at the Embroidery Extravaganza show this weekend, and I got the coupon for buy one get one free (up to 25 cones). I have Madeira right now, but I was wandering if Royal is any good, and would it be good for me to get some cones for some not common colors. It would come out to be $3.43 per 5000m cone when I use coupon.

thanx

I have never used Royal but I would want a sample before I purchased any. Call and ask for a sample so you can see if it will work well on your machine.

I would get a sample before ordering. We made the mistake of ordering a bunch of threads from one vendor and they do not hold up well sewing at 1000 +. We were using Maderia, and have switch to marathon (currently), and they (marathon) have problems to. I guess you get what you pay for....

Thumbs up Re: Royal thread

I have used the Royal thread for a few years now. I have not had any problems. I would recommend it.

I got the sample on the trade show. Ran a 28000 stitches design at 980 stitches/min and did not have any thread breaks. I took a chance and ordered some common colors. i heard a lot of good stuff about it on a few embroidery groups. Thanks for the replies

All I use is Royal thread and have had no issues. I do not even experience thread breaks when using metallics. The price is unbeatable when you have the buy one get on free coupons. Colman and Company has always been great to work with.
